  With 4 new shows coming to the OWN in the fall of 2012, they wanted to share the trailers with their Facebook fans. BNOTIONS worked with the OWN team make the application a little more interesting and social than just watching trailers. We added a voting function that allowed fans to tell OWN what show they were most excited to see that fall, and then we displayed the results of the voting along with how your friends voted. This final feature let OWN’s Facebook fans discover friends with shared interests and see who was watching what.

  Quiznos wanted to drive engagement and reward their Facebook fans with a coupon. The result is the Buckin’ Sub application. It involved the creation of the flash game, complete with a social leaderboard and the ability to customize your rider. The key features of the application include; flash game, avatar customization, social leaderboard and digital coupon distribution.

  Quiznos wanted to send two lucky Canadians to the Super Bowl and they wanted a Facebook application that could predict who their fans best Facebook friends are. We created the app and a custom algorithm that did exactly that. The app took the standard contest entry approach and brought the friends into the mix, making the app more interesting, fun and succesful. It pays to be social.

  iOS & Android Augemented Reality Mobile game

  To reinforce the benefits of their personalized wireless offering, C Spire launched a TV spot (http://youtu.be/YzHOW1E8WR8) and our Augmented Reality application in unison. The TV Spot features an actor catching the parts of the network that are just right for her. We took this approach and brought it to life in an Augmented Reality (AR) game. Players are challenged to catch parts of the network for a chance to win PERC points. By capturing a cluster of the network the game reveals how many PERC points you’ve captured. The player can then choose to keep that point total, or release it for a chance to find a larger value. Be careful – you only have 4 releases a day.

  To help create a more scalable business and application BNOTIONS contributed the idea of using the Yipit API for serving daily deals and Kiip for providing rewards when in-game achievements were reached; both of these services provided affiliate programs, which were generating real revenue for Coupon Quest by the end of their first day in the app store.  The inclusion of Flurry Analytics with custom user actions to pull age and gender demographics  is helping to serve up better user targeted content and rewards.

  Squag.com is a customized community application for “tweens” and teens (9+ years old) on the autism spectrum to connect with one another. A chat application is used and situated in a personalized space (a “Squagpad”) designed for children with Autism. Squag is not therapy; it is recreation and communication – a corner of the web where tweens and teens on the autism spectrum can experiment with the big idea of friendship and gain some confidence to take with them wherever they go.

  My City Lives is an online platform that allows you to share your experiences with your city’s public spaces, organizations and fellow citizens through video. These web stories live on an interactive map showcasing the locations where they were filmed so you can learn about your city based on the stories of others.This project included the development of the web application as well as an API so users can interact with MCL content on the website, web application, iPhone and Android platforms.

  Technology Highlights:
  ·      Node.js (server side Javascript) was utilized based on identified scaling needs
